The Olympic Book Fair: Stretching the Mind and Stretching the Body

HOURS:
Friday, May 11th: 8:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday: 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Wednesday: 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
OPENING CEREMONIES: Friday, May 11th from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.
This year’s theme is the Olympics and author Heather Lang will kick things off at the opening ceremonies. She will be signing her book, Queen of the Track, about Olympian, Alice Coachman, the African-American athlete who overcame racism and poverty to win Olympic gold. Bring thefamily and enjoy some fun and pizza! Little ones are welcome to wear their pajamas.
We hope to see you at the Book Fair. There will be a wide variety of books for children of all ages as well as adults. Do you read ebooks? Google ebooks will also be available at the Book Fair and also as part of the virtual Book Fair.

Book Fair Poster Contest
Encourage your children to participate in the book fair poster contest. The contest will be open on May 2nd and posters are due on the 7th. Winners will be announced on May 9th. All of the posters will be proudly displayed throughout the school. Click here for the poster guidelines.
Volunteer
We need volunteers! Please click here to sign up via a Google doc for dates and times from May 9th through the 18th. Plenty of times are available and we have included class library times for those who want to volunteer while your children are at the book fair.

- Orders placed between 5/7 and 5/17 will arrive at school before June 1st for your child to bring home.
