At Nashoba Brooks we seek to personalize the next school placement process for each family. The work of guiding decisions about next schools follows this philosophy: to help families discover places that are the best possible matches for each student.
The Head of School and the Secondary School Placement Counselor lead graduating Eighth Grade girls and their families through a multi-step process that begins in the spring of the seventh grade. Approximately 75% of graduating eighth graders continue their education at independent secondary schools—at local day and boarding schools, as well as schools throughout the Northeast (and beyond). A portion of graduates choose to attend their local public high schools; however, they also participate in selected steps of the process, such as an interview prep course, that serve them well.
