Every year, our entire Grade 7 class takes the National Latin Exam (NLE) along with thousands of Latin students across the United States and the world. The NLE is an opportunity for students to stretch themselves and receive reinforcement and recognition for their progress with the language. Depending upon their score in relation to the national average, students may earn certificates and medals. This year, the national average was 29/40. We are proud of all the Grade 7 students for their hard work and effort, and pleased to report that 14 students received certificates (cum laude and magna cum laude), 8 of which also received medals for scoring above a score of 35/40 (2 silver, maxima cum laude, and 6 gold, summa cum laude with FOUR perfect scores!). Great work, Latin scholars!
