Financial Assistance

"At Nashoba Brooks, my children have developed an excitement for learning and confidence in their abilities. We are grateful for the financial assistance that made this possible."
- Current Parent
We understand that choosing an independent school education is a major financial commitment. Nashoba Brooks School actively seeks to build and maintain a community where diversity in all its forms is supported, and we encourage families with financial need to apply for financial assistance.

All financial assistance awards are based upon a family’s demonstrated need as assessed by the School & Student Service by NAIS (SSS by NAIS). Awards vary depending upon demonstrated need according to SSS by NAIS and the amount of money available in the School’s budget designated for financial assistance.

Our School community is committed to helping families effectively meet the cost of a Nashoba Brooks School education. Through our commitment to need-based financial assistance, we offer grants and three payment plans to help families. All grants take into consideration the total cost of enrolling at our School. Additionally, the Financial Assistance Committee recognizes the significant cost of our Extended Day and Supervised Study Programs. The determined grant percentage for tuition will automatically be applied to the cost of both of these programs.

This section of the site is designed to inform families about the financial assistance process at Nashoba Brooks. Please take a few minutes to explore the opportunities available to you. If you have additional questions, please feel free to email Maggie Barbuto, Director of Financial Assistance, at mbarbuto@nashobabrooks.org. Please note that any questions emailed will be held strictly confidential.

Applying for Financial Assistance

For students applying for admission to Nashoba Brooks, all financial assistance paperwork must be submitted by Monday, January 28, 2019. Applications submitted after February 1 will be reviewed individually as received and as financial assistance funding is available.

To apply for financial assistance or receive additional information about financial aid, parents can access the SSS by NAIS Website.

The procedure for applying for financial assistance for the 2019-2020 academic year requires that candidates’ families submit the following forms to the Nashoba Brooks Business Office. These forms are updated each year and are available in late fall.
    • SSS by NAIS Parent’s Financial Statement (PFS), filed online on the SSS by NAIS Website. When you fill out the application, indicate that you wish to have your application sent to Nashoba Brooks School, code 5267. Click here to learn how to complete the Parents Financial Statement (PFS) online.
    • A copy of parents’ and student’s, if applicable, 1040 tax form for 2018 and all schedules and supporting documentation, including a copy of all W-2s. No award will be granted until the final 2018 tax form and supporting documentation have been received.  The final 1040 tax forms for 2018 must be received by Monday, February 25, 2019.
    • For parents who are separated or divorced, a copy of your former spouse’s 1040 and supporting documentation, including the W-2.
We realize that many families will not have completed 2018 taxes by the January 28 deadline. If your 2018 Federal Tax Return has not been finalized by this date, you may submit either the final 2017 Federal Tax Return or a draft copy of your 2018 taxes; however, the final copy must be received no later than Monday, February 25, 2019. No award will be granted until a copy of the final 2018 Federal Tax Return has been received.
