Nashoba Brooks Speakers Series Hosts Dr. Michael Thompson

Dr. Michael Thompson, renowned clinical psychologist, school consultant, and author, spoke at Nashoba Brooks on January 9. 
Dr. Thompson's talk, entitled “Best Friends/Worst Enemies: Friendship Development, Popularity, and Social Cruelty in Children,” was based on his research and experience working with schools, children, and parents. More more than 80 parents, teachers, and guests attended.
 
Dr. Thompson spoke about children’s perspectives on friendship and popularity, how those perspectives change over time, and how parents and schools can best support them. His insightful presentation, and the ensuing conversations with the audience, provided both practical advice and a helpful perspective.
