Governor of Rhode Island visits Grades 7 and 8

On November 30, 2017, Gina Raimondo, the 75th Governor of Rhode Island, spoke to Grades 7 and 8 students.
Elected in 2015, Governor Raimondo is the first woman to hold that state’s office. Prior to that, she served as the treasurer of Rhode Island. The Governor's visit was linked to the students' study of government and leadership styles, and complemented the Grade 8 trip to the State House last week. Governor Raimondo spoke to students about her role as Governor, her journey as a leader, and her hope that each Nashoba Brooks student will pursue their passions and dreams. Grade 8 students look forward to continuing their study of government and leadership with their scheduled trip to Washington, D.C. in April.
