Alumna Cara Fritz ('17) brings home the Gold in the Bow Seat Ocean Awareness Contest

Alumna Cara Fritz ('17) won the Gold Award in the 2017 Ocean Awareness Student Contest, sponsored by Bow Seat Ocean Awareness Programs.
Cara was selected from almost 900 middle school entries from around the world in the Prose category for her piece entitled What If? As a part of her award, Bow Seat will make a $750 donation to Nashoba Brooks School.

Bow Seat Ocean Awareness Programs works to inspire the next generation of ocean caretakers through education and engagement with the arts, science, and advocacy.

The contest challenged students to create visual art, poetry, prose, or film around the theme of Ocean Pollution: Challenges & Solutions to communicate the impact of human activity and on the ocean’s health and to challenge the development of innovative solutions.
