The Arts
The arts are integral to our daily lives at Nashoba Brooks School. Through the arts, our students develop confidence and a deeper understanding of themselves as individuals. They practice collaboration, push the limits of their comfort zones, and exercise leadership skills. It only takes one walk through a gallery of student artwork, one drama performance in Tucker Auditorium, one song performed by our music ensembles, or the joy of one all-school assembly to experience the extraordinary impact of the arts at Nashoba Brooks.
At Nashoba Brooks, our students have the unique opportunity to have multiple, dedicated visual and performing arts classes built into their schedules every week. Research shows that students who participate in the arts demonstrate stronger verbal, reading, and math skills, as well as improved critical thinking skills such as organization, analysis, and problem-solving. In a time when arts are too often overlooked as “nice to have” luxuries at risk of sacrifice when resources are scarce, we recognize the arts as essential skills that help students to unlock new levels of learning and leading.
