Alice Flint
Parent of Alumni

Alice Flint has taught at the elementary school level and has practiced social work at a family service agency.

At Nashoba Brooks, Alice was a president of the Parents’ Association and served as a trustee from 1999-2005 and again from 2006-2012. During her tenure as a trustee, she served on eight different committees, chairing both the Diversity and Education Committees. Most recently Alice served as Chair of the Head of School Search Committee. She also led the Expanding Boundaries Campaign and chaired the Board of Visitors Committee. Alice also
serves on the Board at Our Sisters’ School in New Bedford, a school which educates economically disadvantaged middle school girls. At Our Sisters’ School, she is an active member of the Advancement Committee and chaired the search for the current Director of Advancement.

Alice received a B.A. from the University of Virginia, a master’s in education from Bank Street College, and a master’s of social work from Simmons College School of Social Work.

W. Carl Kester

Carl Kester is a Baker Foundation Professor and the George Fisher Baker Jr. Professor of Business Administration, Emeritus at Harvard Business School where he is a member of the Finance Unit. He served as Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs (2006-2010), Chairman of the Finance Unit (2005-2006), and Senior Associate Dean and Chairman of the MBA Program (1999 to 2005). He teaches corporate finance in both the School’s MBA and Executive Education programs. Professor Kester is a four-time recipient of The Robert F. Greenhill Award for outstanding service to Harvard Business School.

Professor Kester is Chairman of the BlackRock Capital Investment Advisors Mutual Funds Complex, which oversees private credit and private equity mutual funds. He is also Vice Chairman of the BlackRock Fixed Income Mutual Funds Complex. He is past Chair and currently Vice Chair and Governor of the Board of Governors of the Handel and Haydn Society, a Boston-based musical society featuring an internationally recognized chorus and period instrument orchestra playing historically informed baroque and classical music. He also served as a trustee (1988-2002), and as President of the Board of Trustees (1999-2002), of the Nashoba Brooks School.

An economics graduate of Amherst College, Professor Kester also holds advanced degrees from Harvard Business School (MBA), and the London School of Economics and Political Science (M.Sc.). He received his Ph.D. in Business Economics from Harvard University’s Graduate School of Arts and Sciences.

John Moriarty

John is the Founder and President of John Moriarty & Associates, Inc., a building and real estate company. John has guided the construction management firm since 1985. JMA has offices in MA, Northern VA, Durham NC, and Hollywood FL.

As a Nashoba Brooks Trustee from 1997-2003 and 2008-2013, John served as Treasurer and Chair of the Buildings and Grounds Committee. John’s expertise in building and real estate were instrumental in helping Nashoba Brooks to successfully complete several important school construction projects including the 2002 build, the 2009 Noble Field and Tennis Court projects, the 2012 Lower School addition and Middle School renovations, and the 2020 addition of the Sureau Family Discovery Barn. John is a Life trustee at Concord Academy and has served as a trustee at Belmont Day School. John is also on the Board of Directors at the Winchester Co-Operative Bank.

John is a graduate of Phillips Academy, Andover, and has a bachelor of arts degree in demography from Johns Hopkins University.

Jason Robart
Parent of Alumni

Jason Robart is the co-founder and managing partner of Seae Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm focused on supporting women and BIPOC healthcare and fintech entrepreneurs. He works with both strategic and financial investors looking to leverage the intersection of strategy, innovation, and venture to further their competitive position and bring fundamental change to the healthcare system. He also partners closely with Seae’s portfolio company CEOs and management teams to help them develop comprehensive go-to-market and human capital strategies. He currently sits on the Boards of several Seae’s portfolio companies including Hurdle, Kiyatec, Moving Analytics and MyMeds.

Jason serves on the boards of SiriusPoint LTD (NYSE: SPNT), Blue Cross Blue Shield of Vermont, the Middlesex School, and Eastview@Middlebury, a retirement community in Middlebury Vermont. At Nashoba Brooks School, Jason served on the Board of Trustees from 2009-2020 and served as President from 2014- 2020.

Prior to Seae, Jason served as the Chief Strategy Officer of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, and as the President and CEO of Zaffre Investments, a wholly owned subsidiary of BCBSMA. He began his career at BCBSMA as the Chief Human Resources Officer where he led a complete overhaul of the insurer’s human capital strategies to better align them with the changing dynamics of the Massachusetts healthcare landscape. Jason also served as BCBSMA’s National Account Segment leader where he delivered impressive growth in an increasingly competitive market.

Jason holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Middlebury College.
