What inspiring wisdom have the young people in your life shared with you recently?
“It’s a circle. It has no end. It goes on forever.” I happened to overhear this existential thought shared by a Lower School student while introducing our director of development to the fine art of UNO. While I was still in a state of awe as I processed the wisdom shared by this brilliant 7-year-old student, her sibling did not miss a beat in responding, “until you run out of cards.” Whether looking through the lens of geometry, philosophy, poetry, dramatic interpretation, or psychology, there is deep wisdom to be found in this simple exchange. I am grateful to work in a place where young people challenge our thinking, expand our imaginations, and ground us as we learn, think, grow, and laugh together.
