Summer Concert Series

We invite you to Nashoba Brooks School for our Free Summer Concert Series!

Concerts will begin at 5:30 p.m. on the porch* of the Sureau Family Discovery Barn and are intended for the whole family. Bring a blanket, a picnic, and enjoy!

JULY 16
(Lower school music teacher Paul Benzaquin on guitar and vocals)
Subject2Change is a Boston-based jazz sextet featuring original compositions and arrangements, covering a vast array of jazz styles from classic swing, bop, and Latin jazz, to more contemporary funk and fusion. Featuring Paul Benzaquin, Nashoba Brooks’ Lower School music teacher, Subject2Change brings the energizing jazz you love, with some unique twists and turns!

JULY 23
Jason Roseman and Tropical Gems provide the best of Caribbean, contemporary , jazz and light classical music, with the focus on steel drums. Jason Roseman is a master performer and builder of steel drums, with more than 30 years steel drumming experience which includes performing on Cunard and Regal Cruise lines. Strike-up the band!
 
JULY 30
“A Master of Folk.” - The Boston Globe
A local legend, Fitz is a teacher, folksinger, songwriter, farmer, essayist, and more! From traditional folk songs and ballads to campfire classics, he aims to play the songs that others want to hear. A family show that gets everyone dancing and singing along, you won’t want to miss it!
 
AUGUST 6
Marc has performed at Austin’s South by Southwest Music Festival and The Kerrville and Falcon Ridge Folk Festivals and has opened shows for Bob Dylan and other national acts. Inspired by his lifelong love affair with the American West, RIDE, Marc's critically acclaimed current release has received national airplay and STARBUCKS has licensed it for worldwide in-store airplay. At this special concert, Marc and the fabulous Ride Band will perform songs from the album along with a mix of original shake your booty roots rock, country and blues.

*In the case of inclement weather, concerts will take place inside the Sureau Family Discovery Barn.

  • From the East

    Take Rt. 2 West to the Cambridge Turnpike exit, crossing Rte. 2A. Continue on Cambridge Turnpike approximately 1.3 miles to the stop sign. Bear left at stop sign and follow Lexington Road into Concord Center. Proceed straight toward the Colonial Inn. With the Inn immediately in front of you bear left and take a quick right onto Lowell Road. Continue 1.2 miles to the stop sign. Turn left onto Barrett’s Mill Road and follow it 0.7 miles. Turn right onto Strawberry Hill Road. Nashoba Brooks School is 0.4 miles on the right.
  • From the West

    Take Route 2 East to the Concord Rotary. Take the third right off the rotary onto Barrett’s Mill Road. Follow Barrett’s Mill Road 1.2 miles. Turn left onto Strawberry Hill Road. Nashoba Brooks is 0.4 miles on the right.
