Junior Varsity Soccer Team Goes Undefeated in Fall Season

For the first time in a decade, the Nashoba Brooks junior varsity soccer team closed out a perfect season.
Team captains H. Carey ('20) and E. McCormack (‘18) helped steer the Middle School team to victory against six local teams. The junior varsity team—led by coach Lucy Douglass and assistant coach Maire Casey—shutout their opponents in six of their eight games.

Leadership was a key ingredient to this team's success. "Every girl on the team took on a leadership role during practice, drills whether cheering the team on or listening to others," said team coach Lucy Douglass.

The team, made up of 12 sixth graders, one seventh and one eighth grader, has high hopes for next season. "My hope is that the program grows and that the girls continue to develop their skills and their love of the sport." Douglass added.
